This workshop will start with Series of Pose for Hips and Back, transitioning to Yin Yoga.
Yoga Series: If you spend a lot of time sitting and/or had some injuries these may cause back pain, tight hips and hamstrings. This type of yoga focuses on specific poses holding each pose for 5-10 breaths. These poses help to strenghten and stretch the back, open hips and hamstrings. The longer holds with breath also unites the body and mind together and can change the way you feel, mentally, emotionally and physically.
Yin is a passive and transformative type of Yoga with poses being held from one to five minutes.Yin allows one to slow down and provides an opportunity to use mindfulness on the mat and everyday life.
Please bring your Yoga mat. Recommend layering clothing and bringing a blanket.
