Aquatic Programs

Explore what the City of Leduc has to offer when it comes to aquatics. Programs offered include Lifesaving Society swim lessons for all ages, teen swim basics and swim evaluations. Plus specialty registered programs and aquatics leadership certification courses.

Family (Parented)


Parented programs are for children up to age 3 and require active participation with an adult aged 18 or older.

Preschool (Ages 3-5)


Preschool aquatics programs are for children ages 3-5 and, unless otherwise specified, are unparented programs.

Child (Ages 6-12)


Registered aquatics programs for school-aged children aged 6 to 12 including swim lessons and any specialty courses.

Youth (Ages 13-17)


Registered aquatic programs for youth ages 13-17 including swim lessons, specialty programs and aquatic certification courses.

Adult (18+)


Adult swimmers will work towards being able to complete short distance swims (10-15m) on their front and back. They will work through swimming stroke fundamentals such as floats, rolls, glides, and kicks. Swimmers will develop their underwater skills as they continue to build their confidence in the water.

Private Lessons (4+)


Private Lessons are one-on-one classes with a certified swimming instructor to meet each swimmer's specific needs.
